Multi-Family Job Captain - San Francisco

Full Job Description

We are seeking a Job Captain for multi-family Type III and V who will be primarily responsible for the scheduling, coordinating administration, and quality control review of Type V multi-family projects. Establishes budgets, prepares schedules, and monitors adherence to terms. Will perform quality control, reviews construction documents, and coordinate with consultants and construction administration.

Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 7 years of architectural experience with emphasis on experience in multi-family projects required
  • Revit expertise required
  • Construction administration experience required
  • Working knowledge of building construction Types, Ill and V
  • Strong understanding of IBC, CBC, and disabled access requirements
  • Possess an understanding of consultant drawings and systems
  • Hand sketch details before producing Revit drawings
  • Possess excellent organizational skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture required
  • California licensed Architect or on track to become licensed preferred

Educational / Experience Requirements:

The responsibilities and knowledge requirements of this position require a minimum of 7 years of residential architecture work experience and an accredited degree in Architecture. Additional requirements may be one or more of the following:

  • Strong knowledge of Type V materials and methods of construction.
  • Strong knowledge of UBC and other applicable building codes.
  • Understanding of merchant-built housing, product types, and markets preferred.
